In the year, 1996, 22nd June is one of the epic days in history that has given the Indian team the best players of all time. This was the day when Rahul Dravid balled for his first-ever Test match against England at the Mecca of cricket Lord’s.
In that match, both Ganguly and Dravid were making Test debuts for India, and, there, the Prince of Calcutta, went on to smash a superb hundred and made 131 runs.
Although that match ended in a draw, that Test match gives rise to two exceptional players.
This Dada-giri was one of the favorite moment of all the Ganguly fans. After hitting the century, the 23-year-old Dada became the third player to achieve a red ball century on International debut.

Who Broke Ganguly’s 25 years old Record?
Former Indian cricketer, who is affectionately known as Dada by his well-wishers and was honored as Maharaja of Indian cricket, is the current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
He is always an astonishing player, and recently a 29 years old cricketer from South Africa named Devon Conway broke Ganguly’s 25 years old record of hitting a century in Test.
While playing against England, Conway hit a hundred on debut at the iconic venue on 3rd June 2021. But folks, records are meant to break, isn’t it? Surprisingly, both Ganguly and Convey who have an age difference of 20 years, were born on the same day on 8th July.
