Mitchell Starc Has Become The First Australian Star To Confirm He Won’t Play In This Summer’s Big Bash League!!

After winning the Test match against Sri Lanka, at Galle International Stadium, one of the best Australian players Mitchell Starc confirmed that he won’t play in the upcoming Big Bash League.

While giving an interview to Australian Associated Press, he clearly stated that he had always enjoyed the BBL but his first priority is always Australian cricket rather than franchise cricket.

Cricket Australia would be very excited for Mitchell Starc to play in the 2022-23 BBL, but he clearly denied and stated that the BBL schedule will definitely coincide with the upcoming Test matches and he didn’t want to miss them.

Although, the official schedule of the BBL has not been revealed yet, but still as we all know that BBL will always be played in the month of December and January, so as per Starc, BBL will definitely clash with the upcoming T20 and ODI series, which’s his first priority.

His decision not to participate in BBL will open the doors for many fresh cricketers, but Cricket Australia wants him to appear in the 11th season of BBL. For the next 18 months, his schedule is very tight and as per him, any BBL or IPL event is not above the nation’s match.

Following the current match against Sri Lanka, Kangaroo players are preparing themselves for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe, New Zealand, India, England, and West Indies.

He’s the very first Australian player who directly denied playing in the BBL match.

The multi-format star, didn’t participate in the BBL for the past seven years and this time also he denied it, but his refusal didn’t decrease his value by even an inch.

To date, he played a total of ten matches for the team Sydney Sixers in the initial four BBL series.
