Cheteshwar Pujara “Does It Again”, Scores Third Double Century For Sussex In County Championship”!!

Superb Indian International cricketer named Cheteshwar Pujara scored third double century for Sussex in the first innings against Middlesex, on 20th July.

He was playing in his fine form and crossed 500 runs mark on second day of their match in the County Championship Division Two.

The 19 seconds short clip showed his happiness after scoring 200 runs in 368 balls. He was the last one to fall for Sussex and all total he scored 231 runs in 403 balls including 21 fours and three sixes, which was truly appreciative.

On Tuesday, Cheteshwar Pujara was titled as an interim captain for the Sussex team, as the top-order left handed batsman named Tom Haines will unable to play for around one to two months.

While playing against team Leicestershire last week, Tom Haines wrist bone was broken, and Pujara has been one of the great batsman for the county who scored 750 runs in just six matches.

While taking to The Argus, first class English player Thomas Philip Alsop quoted that Cheteshwar didn’t really keep count on his runs, but he’s the first Sussex batter to score 200 against Middlesex and also a fantastic player!

Ian Salisbury, the Head Coach of Sussex team commented on his double ton that he was very keen to step up in the absence of Tom and due to his unstoppable batting he has been a natural leader since he joined.

Pujara was not selected for the South Africa tour, but later on after watching his prolific performance in the ongoing County Championship where he scored unbeaten 170 runs against Middlesex, he was recalled for the rescheduled Test match against England at Edgbaston earlier this month.

In that Test match also, he scored half century in 2nd inning. Which means wherever he goes, he left his prints there! What do your think?

After scoring 231 runs in 403 deliveries in the County Championship, Cheteshwar Pujara becomes the fifth cricketer who hit double century in first class cricket.

It was his 16th double century at the Lord’s stadium while captaining team Sussex.Overall, Pujara had begun his high-scoring journey in the first match between Sussex and Derbyshire where he scored his first double century.

After that, he scored a century against Derbyshire and again a double century against team Durham.
