A Batting Masterclass From Dhananjaya De Silva (60 Of 61Ball)

In a post-match presentation, Sri Lanka batter Charith Asalanka was spotted praising his fellow teammate Dhananjaya de Silva for his innings against the ferocious opponents.

De Silva scored 60 runs off 61 balls giving a strong hand to Sri Lanka in the first innings. And Asalanka scored a match-winning ton.

Both these players helped Sri Lanka make history by winning this thrilling match with four runs.

Asalanka said, “It was a strong challenge against the mighty Australians. 3 wickets down early and I want to specially mention De Silva’s Innings, he eased the pressure off me and I was able to play long innings.”

Adding further, he said, “The track was similar to the last game but it spun more later in the game. Dhananjaya and I thought to bat till the 40th over, that was the plan. Target about 250.”

De Silva scored 60 off 61 before getting dismissed by Glenn Maxwell.
