As we all know that a blockbusting Test series is going on between India and England, so as per the Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, three players will need to step up if they want to one-off Test against England.
The name of all three Indian players who need to work hard to win this Test series are Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, and Rishabh Pant.
Furthermore, England’s new captain Ben Stokes is back with such hardcore energy, which made the Test series tougher. And this time if India wants to win, then they need to play out of their skin, or else they will lose the battle.
Currently, the match was paused due to the rising cases of Covid-19 and will be resumed from the 1st of July.
Why Three Players Are Not Fit To Beat England At Edgbaston?
1. Rishabh Pant
There is no doubt, that he is one of the most precious Indian batsmen who have the quality to score runs quickly and demotivate the opposition team suddenly.
He is just 24 but has already scored a hundred in Tests while playing against England, Australia, and South Africa. He also got the title of greatest wicketkeeper from many other cricketers.
But, still after earning so much fame in the game, now he’s not showing that much potential on the ground as he just scored 58 runs in five innings, in the recent T20Is at home.
From being a savage player, he suddenly becomes a danger and could be a very crucial player for this game.
Here’s one tweet showing the achievements of Rishabh Pant. Check it out,

2. Rohit Sharma
Yes, you heard it right, we are talking to upgrade the skipper of the Indian team. Honestly, appointing him as a Test captain when he wasn’t even a part of the Test squad for four years, is an unbelievable achievement.
Rohit Sharma has mind-blowing compatibility and partnership with KL Rahul, but as the latter is injured, he has to work hard.
Now, maybe Shubman Gill or Cheteshwar Pujara will be his opening partners.
Here is one famous tweet showing a frustrated Anderson in front of the current Test captain. Check it out;

3. Jasprit Bumrah
The last one is right-arm fast bowler, Jassi whose performance in the last year’s Test series was unbeatable. In the 2021 match, England bowlers treated him with a barrage of bouncers but his remarkable pacing shut everyone’s mouth at the Oval and led his team to win both Teats.
But in the absence of Ishant Sharma, he is arguably the only one to attack which decreased the chances of victory.
Here is the short clip of Bumrah’s 100th wicket in the Test;
